Madrona Seeking Nurse Practitioner!

Multi-disciplinary clinic on Salt Spring Island searching for Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a nurse practitioner to join our busy clinic Madrona Integrative Health on Salt Spring Island, BC! Gorgeous Salt Spring Island offers a slower paced rural lifestyle, easy access to nature, many local organic farms, a temperate climate, a strong community oriented vibe, and plenty of opportunity for outdoor and water-based activities.

Madrona offers patient-centred care to the Salt Spring community - we’re the only local interdisciplinary clinic. Our current team consists of 5 naturopathic physicians, 2 chiropractors, 1 pelvic floor physio, 1 counsellor, 1 registered massage therapist, and 1 life coach/T.R.E. provider. We are in a rural area that is underserved by the conventional medical system so our clinic fills an important gap in meeting the health needs of the community.

We are located in a heritage building in downtown Ganges - a beautiful space that gives our clinic a warm feel. Our name, Madrona, is another name for the very locally recognizable arbutus tree, but also comes from the root word “mother”, which encapsulates the sense of being held that we hope all patients feel through every step of their care with our team.

We place a high value on integrity and our aim is to build a fun and authentic team. We hold a compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed space.

We are looking for a practitioner who wants to work collaboratively and build relationships with our network of trusted practitioners to work together to support the multi-faceted needs of our patients.

We are passionate about being integrative also in the sense of bridging worldviews - in the clinic we bring together evidence-based and conventional medical approaches with the wisdom of ancient healing modalities such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and traditional herbalism, as well as practical hands-on experience, felt sense, and even intuition.

Our patients & clients love the consistent professionalism and quality of our practitioners and stellar admin team, and the ease of having their appointments in one central location.

We would love to invite a nurse practitioner to join our team - we are looking for a mutual good fit. This is an opportunity to build a private practice with whatever specialty you prefer - private practice offers flexibility of clinical focus, scheduling, and salary. We have a high demand for primary care services locally, and we can support you to build a thriving practice here on Salt Spring Island. We know many nurse practitioners are hesitant to make the switch to private practice, and would be happy to chat about this with you - reach out if you are curious!
